Made from the tassar silkworms, which vastly inhabit mid-east India. It’s a wild silk, but given its color and feel, it can bear comparison with the Asa. It has an air of roughness, which definitely changes one’s image of what silk is.

Its width is about the size of a pinky finger. After making all of the threads, the remaining residue of the cocoon are used to make this. Over there, they apparently make carpet out of this. It’s enjoyable to think about all the different things to make out of this.
